Neighbourhood Art

I like the ramshackle urban chaos of this neighbourhood mural,

and some kids provided a less permanent addition to the area this afternoon, with about eight of these colourful outlines on the sidewalk:

I'm not quite sure what's going on with this particular pair, though, and without the artist(s) around to provide comment, I'll have to leave the possible stories up to you . . .
