Funfare

You may have noticed that we've recently made use of some National Express coach deals (they call them "funfares"), but the trip we're making today is not only the cheapest of the bunch, it'll also be the longest journey by far. Our late departure time should give you a clue as to the type of distance to which we're committing:

We're heading up to north Scotland again for six days' worth of windswept fishing villages, Highland cattle, and friendly folk, and although we've been looking for a cheap way to get there, we never thought we'd get to do it for £4 return, for both of us! Of course, having done the 10-hour overnight bus journey between Toronto and NYC four times (two return trips) when we lived in Toronto, we remember the uncomfortable travel that we're in for (and it's an additional 2.5 hours between London and Inverness). In spite of this, for £4 we're willing to do our best to pretend that we've forgotten!
