Neighbourhood Twilight

My hay fever has reached some previously unimagined heights this week--there was an article in the paper saying that the tree- and grass-pollen seasons are occurring simultaneously this year, causing misery for allergy sufferers (like me) who react to both sets of pollen--so I've had a rather dozy weekend with my supposedly non-drowsy antihistamines (the only ones I've found that actually work, but with definite sleep-inducing effects). As a result, we had a pretty lazy Bank Holiday Monday, but managed to get out for a nice after-dinner walk around the neighbourhood, during which we spotted love

and a colourful creature

before entering Clissold Park. The park bunnies were back in their newly redesigned enclosure, after a long absence and a rather disturbing note posted while they were gone, which let park-goers know that a fox had gotten into the pen and that the bunnies wouldn't be back until the pen had been properly fox-proofed.

It's already duckling time of year again!

This swan settled in for a good night's sleep,

and the park deer struck an idyllic pose, cosied up on a hill with the steeple of St Mary's in the background.
