Ghost Bikes

I thought this bike looked a bit odd as I walked past, so I moved closer to get a better look:That's when I found out that the bike is one of many Ghost Bikes that serve as memorials for cyclists who have died in cycling accidents close to where the Ghost Bikes are placed.

Although we don't have bikes in London, we do in Vancouver, and at one point in my past, I commuted extensively by bike all year round, so I've witnessed uncomfortably first-hand the dangers of cycling, no matter how responsible a cyclist you are. Coming across this Ghost Bike today and watching cyclists ride by as I read the memorial was definitely affecting.
