An Even Dozen

It seemed like everyone was out in the sunshine this afternoon, and after a picnic lunch by the canal, we wandered west along the (sometimes crowded, sometimes deserted) towpath. These were definitely the cutest dozen we saw during our stroll:

St Pancras Lock is a pretty spot

directly beside the rail connection to the continent.

I took a photo of this housing development from another angle almost exactly two years ago, but it looks even more sci-fi from the water.

The waterbuses were doing brisk business today:

We were now in the Primrose Hill bit of the canal (read: posh),

and finished the last part of our canal walk

in Little Venice,

where even the birds have rooftop antennae for better TV reception.

Do you notice anything strange about this house?

How about now, in comparison with its neighbour on the left?

It's not a real house! It's just a facade--the grey "windows" probably wouldn't catch your attention unless you were looking for something strange, and the reason behind this fake building is very strange indeed.
